According to CNBC.com, 2k sports has confirmed that basketball legend Michael Jordan will be the next athlete to be on the cover of 2K Sports basketball franchise. MJ's last appearance in a basketball video game was back in 2004 and there was a demand to feature Jordan as a playable character was so high that 2K had to feature him. Although it is not fully clear of how how Jordan will be played in the game.
2K Sports vice president of marketing, Jason Argent did state that there will be "some really good surprises."

“It’s an honor to be featured on the cover of NBA 2K11,” Jordan said, in a statement. “I have no doubt that NBA 2K11 will be a big hit with gamers and basketball fans alike. I’m looking forward to getting back out on the court, virtually.” Jordan said.
